Currently, the main award, QMEA, is one of the category under the Industry Excellence Awards, administered by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI). The main objective of the award is to give due recognition to companies with an excellent quality management practices in their day to day operations. The Ministry of International Trade and Industry‘s (MITI) has, after a vigorous evaluation, nominated PSI inCONTROL as the winner for the Prime Minister’s Quality Management Excellence Award 2012 (QMEA). This award is recognition of the excellent quality management practices PSI inCONTROL’s  day to day operations.

This covert award is among the highest achievements that any company can aim for as it involved a thorough examination over a few months of all business processes by a team of professionals. MITI appoints a dedicated council led by Ybhg Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Azman Hashim. Committee members are made up of senior Government officers and prominent captains of industry.  The council is supported by seven technical committees and includes representatives from Malaysian External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) and SIRIM Berhad. Selection of winners is verified by Ernst & Young.

The competition is open to all companies including multinationals; as such winning this adds a major feather into the cap of PSI inCONTROL.
The Quality Management Excellence Award has been presented by the Honourable YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin bin Yassin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia to Mr Harvinder Singh, the Chairman cum Managing Director of PSI Incontrol Sdn Bhd in the prestigious Industry Excellence Awards (IEA) 2011 ceremony held on 24th October 2012 in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
